James joined McKechnie Aerospace as Director of Human Resources in 1999. In December 2003 James joined Tyee Aircraft as acting General Manager, where he was responsible for all day-to-day activities while continuing his role in human resources. In May 2003, James was promoted to Vice President/General Manager of Tyee Aircraft. During his time as General Manager James has been responsible for the turnaround plan at Tyee, operational improvements, customer diversification and improvement of relationship with Boeing. Prior to joining McKechnie, James held various positions for Western Sky Industries as General Manager for Welco and Human Resources Director. James has also worked for Vickers Aerospace Marine and Defense. James has a BSC in Economics from the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington. He is also a Certified Compensation Professional and has certifications in Performance Management for the Center for Creative Leadership and Industrial Relations from the American Management Association.
