Jim began his career at SPS Technologies in 1976 as a product engineer for its Industrial Fastener (Unbrako) Division.  After spending time in outside sales in Baltimore, Chicago and Detroit, where he became a District Manager, Jim returned to the Unbrako headquarters, as Manager of Product Engineering, in 1985.  Jim was then promoted to the position of Vice President of Marketing for Unbrako.

In 1992, Jim became Vice President of Marketing for SPS’ Aerospace Products Division.  In this position, he assumed increasing roles of responsibility as this Division grew internally and by acquisition.  Following the acquisition of SPS by Precision Castparts Corporation in 2003, Jim became Vice President of Global Marketing and Sales.  In this capacity, Jim was responsible for the marketing and sales functions in 14 facilities, and additionally, for profit and loss in 2 of these facilities.

Jim was born in Darien, Connecticut. Jim attended Lafayette College, receiving a BS degree in civil engineering in 1972 and earned his MBA from Temple University in 1992.

Jim has been married to his wife, Dorothy (Dot), since 1985.  They reside in Strafford, Pennsylvania.  They have 2 children, Elizabeth and James, who are both attending college on a full-time basis.
